Disclosure and Disclaimers

This blog is not primarily financially driven. I put it up to share my thoughts that others may find helpful, fun, interesting, engaging, distracting, or agitating.

Regardless, beginning December 1, 2009, the FTC requires bloggers to disclose whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations.  So here goes…

First, the obvious: I am a founder, CEO of several companies including Heat Health, LLC, NED LLC, and Scriptis LLC. These companies promote and sell products and services.

Second, the less obvious: Per the FTC rules, if I interview someone and they grab the bill for lunch, I would need to disclose this. Ditto if I use an Amazon link that gets me 6 cents instead of an Amazon link that gets me 0 cents. If someone gives me a hoody with a logo and I wear it on a cold day and I post a photo, same deal. Disclaimers. Disclaimers. Disclaimers all over the place. This would be tedious, nearly impossible, for me to track and even more tedious for poor readers. But rules are rules. To cover my ass and preserve your reading experience, please assume that, for every link and product I use, the following all hold true:

Money, Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency, Financial Education:

Make your own decisions about where to put your hard earned money. I am not a financial adviser and this is not financial advice. If I really need to tell you this then it’s best to keep your money under a mattress anyway because when you lose it you’ll only blame other people for your mistakes rather than yourself.
